Private lessons are a great option for owners who need help with specific training goals, are seeking behavioral modification, or who simply want to get the most out of training with their dog. This is also an ideal option for fearful or aggressive dogs, dogs who require specialized care, or for dogs who may not do well in a group setting. 

These lessons give you the opportunity to work one-on-one with a qualified trainer in your home. Kailey offers many different specialty private lesson packages as well as custom private lessons for those who may need a more personalized approach to their situation. Consultations

Includes a 90 minute consultation to meet and discuss training goals and details of your dog's behavior, training demonstration, and a written training plan and enrichment outline. 
In most cases, the consultation will help solve any immediate concerns, but many clients opt to continue with private lessons. If further training is needed or desired, we will discuss the next best steps or you and your dog.
Starting your training journey with a consultation is recommended. That way, we're able to thoroughly evaluate the situation and be sure we're choosing the right path for you and your dog. $120

Custom Private Lessons
Single lessons, 3 lesson and 5 lesson packages available

Each private lesson is 60 minutes and includes instruction, demonstration and hands-on training practice one-on-one with a qualified trainer. These lesson packages are completely individualized and customizable to your specific training goals and your dog's behavior. We can cover anything from basic obedience to trick training to managing reactive or aggressive tendencies.

Puppy Starter Pack
Includes four lessons. Available to puppies under 5 months old

It's important to start training with your puppy as early as possible! These lessons will cover all the puppy basics including socialization, potty training, basic obedience and learning theory, settling, and behavior prevention to set you and your puppy up for success. 
Be sure to get the whole family involved! $325

Basic Manners Package
Includes four lessons. Available to dogs over 4 months

The foundation for a good dog. This package will focus on training fundamentals to help you create an attentive and engaged dog that's easy to live with. We will start by covering learning theory and engagement, then focus on manners and impulse control, sit, down, coming when called, leash walking and much more. $335 
​This is a great next step following puppy lessons and is not meant to address more severe behavior modification cases.

Community Canine Package
Includes four lessons. Available to dogs who have completed basic manners or at a similar level of training

​This package is ideal for involved owners who would like to take their dog's obedience training a step further. Have you ever dreamed of relaxing on the patio of your favorite local Lexington brewery with your dog? Do you want to impress your friends by showing off your dog's good manners and impressive obedience? Taking your dog's training to the next level is incredibly beneficial. This package focuses on teaching and strengthening obedience cues and practicing good behavior and manners in public settings. $345
This option is best for dogs who do not struggle with confidence, fear or aggression as this package focuses mainly on advanced obedience and manners in public settings. Consider other specialty packages or custom private lessons.

Reactive Dog Package
​Includes 1.5hr consultation and five 45 minute lessons. 

This package is designed for those whose priority or main concern is understanding and managing your dog's reactivity. 
According to a recent study, about 75% of dog owners say their dog shows some sign of reactivity. "Reactivity" ultimately means your dog struggles to control their emotions in certain situations. This typically looks like lunging and barking, but can show itself in many different ways, including fleeing and hiding. 
The goal of this program is to give you the tools you need to help your dog cope in anxious situations. You will learn to understand their triggers, read your dog's body language and manage their environment and behavior through desensitization and counter conditioning to create a more relaxed and confident dog. 
This program includes an initial 90 minute consultation session to assess your dog, their needs, and begin to dissect triggers. We will create a training plan and discuss the fundamentals of training and managing a reactive dog. The package then includes five 45 minute training sessions where we will work with your dog through triggers together. $570

CGC Training and Testing
Package includes three lessons; additional lessons may be added as needed.
​CGC testing only is also available.

As an approved AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) evaluator, I am excited to offer a CGC training package and CGC testing. Canine Good Citizen is a 10-skill test that teaches responsible dog ownership and provides your dog with the framework to become a well-mannered dog in society. You and your dog will be rewarded with an AKC CGC title, ribbon and certificate from the AKC upon passing.
I provide a discounted training package of three private lessons that focuses on teaching and strengthening CGC skills and behaviors to prepare for the CGC test. The CGC test is included in the rate and will be given following the last lesson. $250
If more training is needed, additional lessons can be added following the package at a discounted rate of $80

A travel fee of $.67 per mile may be added to rates depending on location and travel distance.
