Important Policy and Schedule Updates

I wanted to take a moment to share a few important updates to my schedule and business policies. These are in place to help me serve you and your pets better while also maintaining a healthy work/life balance. As you read on, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Business Contact Hours
Without having set times in place to focus on answering messages (and set times to put my phone away and rest), I've recently felt overwhelmed and have fallen behind on communication. I will now have set business hours in regards to communication. During these hours, my work cell phone will be with me and I will be available to answer your text messages and phone calls. If I am with a client or driving when I receive your message or call, I will get back to your message ASAP within those hours. Outside of these hours, my work cell phone will be placed in "Do Not Disturb" mode, and there is no guarantee I will see or respond to messages during this time (for example, if you are in need of a service on Monday, please reach out on Friday before 6pm). If you do contact me after hours, I will respond ASAP during business hours.
Please note that, even outside of these hours, I am working. I provide around-the-clock care for my boarders as well as meeting clients for evening private training lessons, conducting morning and evening drop-ins, pickups or drop-offs, cleaning and disinfecting the play/training area and equipment, or completing last minute administrative work. If we have something scheduled together after hours or on weekends, or if your dog is boarding with me and I have an update to share with you, I will be in contact with you when needed, even outside of these business hours.
That being said, I also recognize that emergencies happen. I want to be available to those who need me whenever I can accommodate. I will have an emergency line set up for last minute after hours requests. Please reserve this emergency contact opportunity for emergencies only. I will get this information to each of my clients privately.

Pickup and Drop-Off Windows
While I love having the opportunity to be flexible with your schedules, organizing dozens of drop-offs and pickups each week becomes exhausting and also stirs up some chaos amongst the dogs in my care with the frequent changes in routine. I am introducing clear pickup/drop-off windows to help streamline scheduling and reduce stress for the dogs (and for me).
*This is in regards to dropping your dog off or picking them up from my location for boarding or daycare stays.
Pickups and drop-offs will still be by appointment only so I know when to expect you, but I ask that everyone plans to pickup or drop-off within these new windows whenever possible. If you have a custom request for a pickup/drop-off time, please feel free to check-in and I'll accommodate when possible.
*While I am not adding a fee for approved pickups/drop-offs outside of the set windows at this time, I will, however, be implementing a "convenience fee" for approved drop-off and pickup requests that are AFTER HOURS (before 7am or after 7pm).

Updated Payment Policy
Unfortunately, I’ve experienced an increase in unpaid or overdue invoices lately. To keep things fair and sustainable, I’ll be implementing the following changes effective today (10/14/25).
- Invoices are due upon receipt
- A late fee of 5% per week will be automatically applied to any unpaid balances
- Deposits or prepayments may be required to secure appointments and I will now require a card on file.
- My payment plan option will now have a contract and will incur late fees for missed payments at each due date
A quick note about weekends and holidays:
In an attempt to provide myself with scheduled rest days, I will be adding a weekend charge for drop-in visits and walks scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as transportation services (picking up or dropping off boarders to/from your home). This also applies to holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day).
